This series of works stems from a reflection on the fragility of existence, inspired by the thoughts of Arthur Schopenhauer: 'Life is like a soap bubble, which we blow and try to maintain for as long as possible, but with the firm certainty that it will burst.'

Partial figures, suspended in space, converse with evanescent soap bubbles, symbols of a fragile balance between desire, waiting, and dissolution. The hands, silent protagonists of the composition, perform delicate and measured gestures, as if trying to hold back the moment before loss.

The technique, based on light glazes, transparencies, and drips, amplifies the sensation of impermanence: the color not only constructs the form but becomes atmosphere, flowing time, a memory that surfaces and dissolves. Bubbles reflect light and color, embodying the illusion of duration and the beauty of the moment.

The series invites the viewer to an intimate and meditative contemplation, where awareness of the end does not negate life but enhances its preciousness, transforming fragility into visual poetry.





The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and the artist's autograph.

Active since 1998, Sonny Insinna studied at the Almeyda Art High School and graduated in Painting (First and Second level) from the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo. His works are part of public collections and museums, including: G. Sciortino Civic Museum (Monreale), Trapani Bishop's Seminary, Stauros Contemporary Art Museum (Teramo), Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (Pennsylvania, USA).

He has exhibited in numerous institutional contexts in Italy and abroad: Palazzo Ziino (Palermo), Valentina’s Art Gallery (Charleston, USA), Torre dei Ventimiglia (Montelepre), Galleria A Sud ArteContemporanea (Realmonte), Sacro Convento di Assisi, and Biennale d’Arte Sacra (USA).
In 2011, he founded the Free School of Visual Arts 'Mialò Art.' In 2024, he published the manual 'Colors in Balance.'

Among his achievements: sculptures in alabaster and bronze for religious entities, and theatrical scenographies.
For years, he has focused his research on the languages of contemporary art, with particular attention to figuration and the symbolic dimension.
