Original vintage leather boxing gloves from roughly 1930–1950, weight 12 lb, with horsehair padding and a traditional lace closure, heavily used but retaining an authentic patina and not signed with origins in Europe or the USA.
Description from the seller
Original vintage leather boxing gloves – circa 1930–1950 | 12 lb | horsehair padding | collectible item
These authentic, handcrafted boxing gloves originate from the first half of the 20th century and embody the raw elegance and history of classic boxing.
Made from heavy, thick cowhide leather, they display a beautiful, honest patina that can only develop through decades of intensive use. The traditional lacing, the massive padding, and the distinctive, stout shape are typical of training gloves from the 1930s to the 1950s.
Especially noteworthy is the original filling with horsehair, as was common in high-quality boxing gloves of this era. This traditional padding provides the characteristic firm shape and makes the gloves particularly interesting for collectors.
The printed weight '12 lb' identifies them as classic training gloves. Signs of age-related wear, abrasions, and small tears are present and explicitly part of the authenticity – not a replica, not a reproduction, but lived sports history.
