Complete and remarkably well-preserved set of 13 volumes of this major 18th-century French work.

Volumes 3, 4, 7, 9: 1750
Tomes 5, 6, 8, 10, 11 : 1751

With the approval and privilege of the King.
Format: 13 volumes in-12° (17×11 cm)
Binding: Full period brown calf, uniformly rebound. Spine with 5 raised bands and gilded panels. Title pieces reading 'HISTOIRE ANCIENNE' in gold-tooled maroquin. Red edges sprinkled. Very good condition: boards firmly attached, gilding well preserved, authentic patina.
Fresh cream paper, sharp print.
