Emidio Pepe Trebbiano 2021, a DOC Italian wine from Abruzzo, in three 0.75 L bottles with depressed cork and a fully intact label, made from 100% Trebbiano d'Abruzzo.
Description from the seller
Emidio Pepe's winery was founded with a fundamental idea: to seek out the finest expressions of Trebbiano and Montepulciano. To do this, Emidio exploited aging to achieve the refinement and elegance he sought while simultaneously preserving the youth and energy of the wines.
Pepe keeps at least half of his Trebbiano, Montepulciano, Pecorino, and Cerasuolo di Riserva in the cellar and releases a small portion each year, while the new vintages are stored for extended aging.
The cellar serves as a historical library of the tradition and culture of Emidio Pepe and his family.
Grapes: 100% Trebbiano d'Abruzzo. Hand-picked with careful selection of the bunches. Antique gold color. Aromas of ripe Annurca apples, straw, humus, walnut husks, and toasted almonds. Palate: Less acidic and lively than usual on the palate, already accomplished with hints of very ripe fruit and a savory finish that barely revives the overall flavor. Pairs well with fish dishes, smoked cooked ham, and pasta with vegetables.
