Description from the seller

A very beautiful patinated bronze sculpture depicting 'Rebecca the water carrier,' an Eastern woman created by the bronzier Gaston Leroux at the end of the 19th century.

This statue is typical of the Orientalist productions from the late 19th century, when the taste for the Orient was prevalent.

The quality of the font shows that it is old.

Very nice work. Just on the base, we have a small hole; perhaps this statue was on a different marble base.

This statue is in good condition; the patina is correct.
