Description from the seller
In this lot, we present a full giant-sized slice of the Aletai meteorite (China, 1898), ideal for a large collection or museum. The Widmanstätten lines are very well defined and highly beautiful.
A common concern among collectors is the tendency of metallic meteorites to oxidize. For this reason, this meteorite has been stabilized through the electrolysis process, which prevents rust formation and allows you to enjoy your meteorite peacefully :)
Metallic meteorites like this originate from the core of large asteroids, composed of iron and nickel, just like Earth, and they were disintegrating as they received numerous impacts from other bodies throughout the formation process of the solar system until they became what we see today.
A fantastic opportunity to acquire this museum-quality slice, one of the largest available on the market. Cut with diamond wire, we have achieved a large surface area relative to its weight. We strive to offer you the best meteorite slices on the market.
We are members of the leading international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee the authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made from this material for life. Buy with confidence.
