Description from the seller
Fragmented Face # 6
Series: Geometries of Being
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
Description:
The painting features a female face synthesized through rounded geometric shapes and well-defined planes of color. The composition is structured around a vertical axis that divides the face into two contrasting halves, reinforcing the idea of duality: stability and change, serenity and contained tension.
Overall, the portrait conveys a contemplative calm. It does not aim to depict a specific face but rather a universal presence: an identity built from fragments, where geometry acts as an emotional language and color as a vehicle for silent introspection.
Features are constructed through circles, rectangles, and smooth curves that replace naturalistic gestures with a symbolic language. The eyes, asymmetrical in shape and expression, create a sense of multiple gaze, as if the figure were observing from different states of consciousness. The dark circle on one cheek introduces an almost abstract element, functioning as a point of visual and emotional weight.
The palette combines warm tones — reds, ochres, and beige — with deep blues and muted greens, creating a chromatic balance that adds depth without losing clarity. The gathered and simplified hairstyle emphasizes the verticality of the work and provides a sense of structural order.
The canvas is carefully rolled and securely packaged in a sturdy square tube for shipping.
The images you are viewing now are examples of how the artwork might look when framed and hung on a wall.
