A Japanese Jyukken Suji-Kabuto steel samurai helmet from the late Edo period, with a height of 26.9 cm, width 35.4 cm, depth 33.6 cm and weight 1,870 g, in good condition for its age and including a placket.
Description from the seller
This is a Japanese samurai helmet from the late Edo period or later period.
There are dirt, scratches, tears, fading, stains, damage and holes, but it is not in bad condition for something of its age. Some parts may have been changed during its life.
A placket is also included.
I think the placket was added later.
It is an exceptional piece with extremely high historical value.
