Lot of two vintage leather Asian rhinoceroses.
England of India circa 1965-1975

Two beautiful decorative rhinoceroses.
Of course, I've seen the Asian one many times. But I've seen this version less often.
Made from leather, using papier-mâché technique.
During the Victorian era, these animals were a status symbol. They became popular again in the 1970s. They were mostly made in England or India for the European market.
They measure approximately 36cm long and 20cm high.
In excellent condition, of course with signs of use.
