Beautiful decorative Tazza bowl.
Trier Germany 1911

This is an antique Empire-style tazza, made of gilt bronze with a glass bowl. Made circa 1900-1920.
Prize awarded to the winner of the 1911 window display competition in Trier.
Prize of the Innkeeper's Guild of Trier.
The text is on it. Schaufensterwettbewerb 1911 preis der wirte innung Trier.
The bronze base is decorated with classical motifs, including a leaf frieze.
The glass bowl has a rim with a bead motif.
A tazza is a shallow dish on a foot, often used as a drinking bowl or fruit bowl.

Trier, along with Worms, is the oldest city in Germany and also the oldest bishopric north of the Alps. The independent city of Trier lies on the right bank of the Moselle River. The city has 110,674 inhabitants and an area of 117.13 km².
