Easel painting on panel.
Subject: Genre scene – Portrait of a man with a hat (smoker or peasant).
Technical Features
End of the 17th century or beginning of the 18th century.
School: Tradition of the Northern Schools (Flemish or Dutch).
Support: Monolithic wood panel (probably oak).
Panel thickness: 0.70 cm (manual planing work).
Oil on panel.
Condition of Preservation
Face: Presence of a network of age-related crack patterns (particularly visible in dark areas). No major paint layer lifts visible in the photo.
Reverse: Healthy panel. Slight axial drying crack not penetrating the panel.
