Red cloth binding., rebacked, with original gilt title and decorations to spine and front board, rear board with blind stamped design. General wear to exteriors as shown with marks and scuffs to extremities. Inner joints have been strengthened (not visible). Title in red and black. Pages are complete, with 72 plates, as called for and hundreds of wood engravings throughout the text. Age toning and the odd mark here and there, otherwise pages are generally clean as shown.
