Beautiful illustrated edition of the novel by Stendhal, adorned with superb watercolor compositions by André Fournier.
Limited edition of 1000 copies, this one printed on Rives paper (No. 626).
Two volumes preserved in charming full morocco bindings with marbled covers, featuring a cold-stamped plaque on the covers and framing fillets, smooth spines decorated with a similar cold-stamped design, an inner border, titles in gilt lettering, and gilt headbands. Covers and spines preserved.
Decorative bindings, solid, with some scuffs on the cuts and corners, slightly worn spine. Slightly yellowed paper, with no foxing or very rare.
Beautiful copy. A rare work by Cyral.
