Description from the seller
2015 reviews ;
Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Advocate
Point Score: 96+
The 2015 La Violette is medium to deep garnet-purple with fragrant scents of potpourri, dried lavender, bouquet garni and cigar boxes over a core of warm plums, blueberry compote and cassis plus a waft of underbrush. Full-bodied, rich and opulent in the mouth and packed with black fruit and spice layers, it's framed with a firm yet velvety structure and oodles of freshness, finishing long.
James Suckling
Point Score: 98-99
This is a massive Pomerol with incredible concentration and power yet it holds together beautifully with chocolate, walnut and dark fruit character. Remains vibrant and lively.
2017 reviews ;
Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Advocate
Point Score: 94-96+
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 La Violette is a little reticent to begin, unfurling to give crushed blackberries and blackcurrants notes with touches of forest floor, truffles, cast iron pan and star anise. The palate is exquisitely balanced and intense, with firm, ripe tannins and seamless freshness framing the rock-solid, muscular fruit, finishing very long.
Jeb Dunnuck
Point Score: 93-96
The 2017 La Violette is another silky, elegant effort that has a Burgundian flare. Black cherries, blueberries, violets, white flowers, and spice characteristics all emerge from this seamless 2017 that is as classy, silky and pure as they come. Total class and up with the creme de la creme of the vintage.
2018 reviews;
Lisa Perrotti-Brown - The Wine Advocate
Point Score: 93-95+
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 La Violette reveals delicate notes of rose hip tea, underbrush and wild sage to begin, opening out to Black Forest cake, plum preserves and blackberry pie scents plus wafts of cedar and cinnamon toast. Big, full and voluptuously fruited, it has a firm structure of plush tannins and background freshness, finishing opulent.
Jeb Dunnuck
Point Score: 96-98
Made by the team at Le Gay, the tiny production, garagiste-styled 2018 Chateau La Violette is another magical wine, offering a saturated purple color, heavenly notes of black and blue fruits, smoky oak, chocolate, and earth, full-bodied richness, and layers of polished tannins. Despite being a big, powerful wine, nothing is out of place, it has thrilling purity, and is a gorgeous wine any way you look at it. Buy it if you can.

Buy it direct at the release.
Wine is storage in a wine climate cabinet.
