AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A fantastic complete Howardite breccia recently classified under the official name NWA 15682. These are very rare samples, with a small classification, as only 984 grams of this very special fall are known. It is a complete piece, showing the exterior with a beautiful, fresh black fusion crust.

The interesting and remarkable aspect of this classification is that it has been found that about 8% of the mass consists of clasts of the meteorite type Carbonaceous Chondrite from the CM group, which creates a genuine contradiction, as we are talking about a Howardite (achondrite) that has chondrules—something extremely rare and indicative of the meteorite's history and the formation and collision processes between bodies of different natures in space. It is one of the few that will go on sale and therefore one of the few opportunities to own one. With an excellent fusion crust, this specimen is of high quality, worthy of a major collection or museum.

Thanks to studies, it has been confirmed that HED-type meteorites (Howardites, Eucrites, and Diogenites) originate from asteroid Vesta, making them differentiated, rocky-type meteorites, that is, achondrites.

Size and quality of the museum, exceptional for adding to your collection. Don't miss this opportunity!
