Pair of two ceramic vases from Germany, dating to circa 1900–1910 in Delft-inspired design, featuring a bulbous form with side handles and a cobalt blue floral decal on a light background, each signed “Schlösser” and measuring 32 cm tall; no cracks, with a chip at the base on one vase and documented glaze defects on the other, in excellent condition overall.
Description from the seller
Pair of exceptional ceramic vases from Germany, dated around 1900–1910, in the style of Delftware. The globular shape with side handles is completely covered by a finely executed cobalt blue floral decor on a light background. Lush flowers, scrolls, and leaf motifs are symmetrically arranged and show clear influences from Dutch faience traditions, interpreted in a German manufactory aesthetic of the turn of the century. Both vases are signed 'Schlösser,' indicating an individual workshop or ceramicist from that period. The craftsmanship, harmonious form, and detailed decoration give the ensemble a prestigious appearance. A rare, matching pair that combines Historicism and early Modernism, ideal for collectors of Art Nouveau ceramics, Delft-inspired works, and German art ceramics from around 1900.
The vases have no cracks. One vase has a chip on the bottom (see photos). The defect of the other vase is also documented with photos.
The goods are wrapped in padding foil and enclosed in bio-styrofoam within a double-walled carton for shipment via DHL.
