Gran Reserva 2009 (0,75L Bottle)
C.V.N.E. Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España CVNE - (Haro, La Rioja)
D.O.: RIOJA
Cune Gran Reserva 2009 is a wine of attractive and intense garnet colour and interesting nose that show us a modern reserva and with a certain youthful touch. It is made mainly with the Tempranillo variety, a flagship of Rioja, and in it we find notes of forest fruits such as plum, the characteristic liquorice and aromas from ageing such as toffes, vanilla and chocolates. Its fine, complex palate, with balanced tannin and extraordinary finish make it an easy-to-drink wine and perfect for pairing both spiced red meats, stews and stews. A wine to drink now and in 2025!
“Imperial is one of the great wines of Spain. A Rioja classic, born in the twenties. The production of Imperial only occurs when exceptional harvests are produced”
"Our best vineyards in Rioja Alta are destined for the production of Imperial Gran Reserva, the plots from which it is harvested are located between 550 and 650 m of altitude with a climate of Atlantic and continental influence. The vines are trained in glass, dry land and the plots are small. The soils are clayey with areas of river pebbles, have little organic matter and are located on gentle slopes facing south.
Imperial Gran Reserva is an emblematic wine from Rioja and Spain. It is only made when the harvests are exceptional. This wine is designed to last and improve over time.
The harvest is carried out manually from selected vineyards, with a double selection of grapes both in the vineyard and in the winery. Whole bunches are cold refrigerated to improve fruit extraction and color stability. The crushed grapes are transported by gravity to small oak vats for cold maceration for a few hours. It is then fermented with native yeasts at a controlled temperature between 28 and 29ºC. During fermentation, bazuqueos and delestages are carried out daily, as well as tastings to determine the ideal moment for draining the vat. After completing the malolactic fermentation in concrete vats, the wine ages for two years in new, single-wine French and American oak barrels, with racking every 8 months, followed by bottle aging in our century-old cellars until its release. to the market."
