6.7 cm, -Hundreds of chondrules!- Amazing Type LL3 chondrite meteorite. NWA 17369 (new classification) - 14.2 g

The meteorite from this batch is a beautiful slice of type 3 Condrite, which means it has perfect chondrules that can be distinguished from the matrix. Each of the small circles represents a grain of matter from the presolar cloud, which gradually fused to form larger bodies. Therefore, this type of condrites are a true fossil of the origin of the Solar System. A photograph of the beginning of the formation of our corner of the Universe in which we live.

Cut with a diamond wire, we achieved a large surface area with a low weight, so we can see literally hundreds of chondrules in this fantastic slice. This is one example for a large collection of samples, recently officially classified under the name NWA 14369. Here's the link:
