Italy - Artillery - Military equipment

Aiming telescope for howitzer, probably dating from World War I or a nearby period, it is a type of military optics used for indirect artillery targeting, produced by San Giorgio Societa' Anonima industriale Genova-Sestri.
Complete with serial number, still clearly visible.
The pointer is fully functional in all its functions, both adjustment and visual.
The lens is in good condition, as are the parallels and the longitudinal adjustment.
As shown in the photos, superficial rust and signs of use are visible.
Carefully preserved for decades.
It is an important and rare historical object.
