Description from the seller
The conditions are excellent, like new, with no scratches or other imperfections, as can be easily seen in the photos that are an integral part of the description.
Rolex has always provided the lAncoretta with all Rolex Submariner models since the first model's inception.
1953.
It is easily demonstrable that it was supplementary as early as 1960; look at the last four photos, where in the booklet of reference 5510 from 1960 it already appears very clearly, just like in the booklet of reference 5513 from 1970, and it remained in use until 2009/10, the year when production ceased.
The references accompanied by the metal Ancoretta are listed below.
6204 DAL 1953 to 1954
6200 DAL from 1954 to 1955
1680 from 1967 to 1979
16800 DAL from 1979 to 1988
16610 ..
Dimensions: Height: 4.5 cm
Width 4 cm
Total length with chain: approximately 22 cm.
Naturally, the first dial is born with an aluminium fusion in Rolex laboratories and displays figures achievable by the first Submariner 100 meters / 330 feet.
In 1960, with reference 5510, the achievable depth also changed, as did the small anchor supplied, which is still produced by Rolex using a fusion of aluminum, magnesium, manganese, and silicon alloys, enhancing corrosion resistance for an equivalent weight. This new anchor now indicates the new depths achievable with the new Submariner, at 200 meters / 660 feet.
In 1989, with references 14060 and 16610, the achievable depth was increased to 300 meters / 1000 feet, and the Ancoretta was further redesigned, still manufactured by Rolex with new metals and aluminum, making it deliberately lightweight and durable.
