Fascinating antique on the history of printing. The author of this book believed that the invention of printing was first made in Haarlem, specifically by Laurens Janszoon Coster. There is still much uncertainty about this version, but some scholars attribute the invention of printing to Gutenberg. Nevertheless, it is a remarkable book when it comes to the history of printing. The book is in excellent condition and complete with the 8 fold-out plates.
