Brass Art Nouveau tilted hall mirror, circa 1950–1960, with an oval reflective plate set on a decorative foot, overall 49 cm high and 31 cm wide (inner 30 x 21 cm), weight 1.7 kg, back finished in green felt, condition good with minor signs of age and spots and one side missing a small fixing screw for mirror tilt.
Description from the seller
Elegant antique dressing mirror made of richly decorated brass, with an oval mirror plate that is adjustable at an angle. The mirror is mounted on an ornate foot with floral and neoclassical ornaments, characteristic of the late 19th to early 20th century.
The mirror has a classic, warm patina that gives the object its authentic appearance.
The back side is finished with green felt, as is customary with toilet and dressing table mirrors from this period.
Condition
Mirror glass in reasonable to good condition, with minor signs of use appropriate for its age.
Brass frame with normal wear and patina.
On one side, a small screw for fixing the mirror position is missing, see the 9th photo with blue markings.
The mirror remains stable and is very usable.
The missing screw can be easily replaced if desired.
