Description from the seller
Offered: a beautiful hand-blown glass vase by the renowned British glass artist Peter Layton from the series 'Sunflowers'. After numerous experiments, Peter used his skilled technical abilities to create a series that translates aspects of Van Gogh's Sunflowers into glass. He employs a technique of layering colored glass to achieve the characteristic painting style of the Dutch master. The series, which was presented at the National Gallery in London in May 2017, took nearly a year of development before Peter felt he had fully captured his interpretation of the painting. The vase features an elegant, organic shape and is executed in vibrant colors: warm orange and yellow tones contrasting with soft blue and green. The vase is in excellent, like-new condition, with no chips, cracks, or restorations. A decorative and collectible piece that will appeal to both glass art lovers and Van Gogh collectors.
