AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Set of 3 Chinese porcelain plates from the Kangxi period, first quarter of the 18th century.
It concerns tiles on a footring with a wide, flat rim. Decorated in underglaze blue in the style of Kraak porcelain. The flat part shows a star-shaped compartment with a decoration of a flowering plant with an insect, perhaps a cricket. The background is formed by horizontal stripes (indicating water). Around the star shape, there are eight compartments with alternating net and braid motifs. The wall decoration continues into the rim and consists of sixteen narrow panels, roughly the same width. They alternately feature a flower, geometric decoration, and Buddhist treasures. The back shows a continuous floral vine on the rim.

Dimensions
20.9 x 3.2 cm

Condition
Border 1, 4 glued shards.
- edge, 2, 3 glued shards, some flea bites on the edge.
- piece 3, composed of 9 shards, edge chips.
