Description from the seller
Elegant gold pendant made from an authentic British coin, a 1 Pound (Sovereign) minted in 1874 during the reign of Queen Victoria.
The coin features on the obverse the profile of Queen Victoria with the inscription VICTORIA D G BRITT REG, while on the reverse it depicts Saint George slaying the dragon, a famous engraving by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the date 1874 visible at the bottom.
The coin is original and historic, subsequently mounted as a pendant with a simple and functional setting, probably made for personal use.
The item presents itself as vintage jewelry, ideal for both coin collectors and those seeking a gold jewelry piece with strong historical value.
