Description from the seller
The Intermediate Space presents itself as an exploration of the place where form ceases to be a boundary and becomes a transit. It is not a closed figure or a pure abstraction, but rather a construction that inhabits that ambiguous territory where volumes approach each other, brush against one another, and support each other without merging.
The work is structured around overlapping planes that create an unstable yet deeply balanced architecture. Each fragment seems to occupy a provisional place, as if the composition were suspended in a state of continuous decision. In this sense, space does not act as a background but as an active matter: an element that separates, connects, and gives meaning to the internal relationships of the piece.
The Cubist language manifests here as a contemporary synthesis. There is no intention of violent rupture, but rather a dialogue between forms, colors, and directions. The chromatic contrasts function as emotional tensions, while the curves and angles create a slow rhythm that invites a slow, almost meditative observation. The figure, suggested rather than defined, appears as a presence constructed from the relationship between its parts.
The Intermediate Space thus proposes a reflection on identity understood as a process, not as a fixed state. It is in that 'in-between' — between gesture and thought, between form and emptiness, between stability and movement — where the work finds its deepest meaning. As a curator, I read this piece as an invitation to inhabit the pause, to recognize that many of the most significant transformations occur precisely in the places that are not entirely one nor entirely the other, but in that intermediate space that connects them.
