The work is presented in a hardcover binding and is in good overall condition.
The sheets retain good color and definition. Rust stains are visible on some sheets, which are common in 19th-century publications, and they do not significantly affect readability or the appeal of the work.
The protective sheets for the portraits of the scientists appearing at the beginning of the first two volumes are missing, as well as the protective sheets corresponding to plates numbers 84, 85, 86, 87, and 88 of the third volume.
A work of great interest for collectors of historical botany, 19th-century scientific illustration, and specialized bibliography.
