Original Yugoslav theatrical cinema poster for Flash Gordon (1980), the cult science-fiction fantasy film directed by Mike Hodges and produced by legendary producer Dino De Laurentiis.
Based on the classic 1930s comic strip created by Alex Raymond, Flash Gordon stars Sam J. Jones in the title role, alongside Melody Anderson, Ornella Muti, Max von Sydow, Topol, Timothy Dalton, Mariangela Melato, Brian Blessed, and Peter Wyngarde, with an iconic rock score composed and performed by Queen.
Printed and distributed in Yugoslavia by Zvezda Film, this striking regional poster features artwork by renowned Italian poster artist Renato Casaro, one of the most celebrated illustrators of cinematic fantasy and adventure.
