In Donut, realism and the pop universe converge in a composition that oscillates between visual pleasure and subtle critique of contemporary consumption. The central figure, captured in a moment of desire and satisfaction, contrasts with the explosive background of urban colors and shapes, where graffiti transforms into a pictorial language.
The vibrant palette — dominated by intense oranges, electric blues, and neon pinks — creates a tension between the figurative and the abstract, between human gesture and graphic impulse. The viewer's gaze is guided by the dynamism of the lines and the almost tactile texture of the surface, revealing a scene that is simultaneously intimate and theatrical.
Under ultraviolet light, Donut gains a new dimension: hidden layers of fluorescent ink emerge, revealing traces, patterns, and symbols invisible to natural light. This second reading transforms the piece into a game of perceptions, where the apparent surface conceals secret messages and gestures, expanding the dialogue between the visible and the hidden.
