"Calypso" is part of the Nymphs collection and is inspired by the mythical figure of the nymph who inhabited the island of Ogigia, a symbol of mystery and seduction. The face, wrapped in intense shades of fuchsia, orange, and touches of gold, conveys a magnetic strength that oscillates between attraction and enigma.

Her deep gaze seems to hold secrets, captivating the viewer in a moment of silent contemplation. The vertical strokes that run across the canvas evoke the flow of water and the passage of time, as if the figure emerges and disappears at the same time. In Calypso, femininity becomes a visual song that invites one to lose oneself and be carried away, just like Ulysses in the myth.

It belongs to the collection of five works 'Nymphs'.

The artwork is delivered without a frame, rolled inside a reinforced PVC tube to ensure safe and more economical delivery. Once received, the artwork will be rolled inside the tube, which opens with a screw cap for added security, and wrapped in bubble wrap. After opening, I recommend taking it to a specialized place to have it stretched and the frame installed. The artwork, including margins, measures 117 x 85 cm.

It is signed on the back and front with the completion date and authenticity certificate rolled up alongside the artwork.

The colors of the work vary slightly depending on the lighting in the room, adding dynamism and adaptability to the surroundings. These photos were taken inside a house with warm lighting. The work also features a satin varnish finish for durability and quality.


COBER Biography

Cober is a 26-year-old Madrid-based artist who has managed to forge a unique path in the art world, blending his urban heritage with his passion for figurative expression. His journey began in graffiti, where he created street-level murals that stood out for their mastery of space and ability to capture the essence of portraits. These monumental works, ranging from 10 m² to 500 m², allowed him to perfect his technique and connect with Madrid's urban environment, marking the start of an artistic pursuit that continues to define him today.

Currently, Cober takes his art beyond the streets, transferring his talent to large-format canvases. He masterfully combines spray techniques, acrylic, and plastic paint to create works that reflect the richness and depth of figurative art. His style has developed over a period of exploration, during which he sought ways to merge his graffiti experience with a more introspective and sophisticated expression. This journey led him to focus on the representation of women, figures that occupy a central place in his work. Cober finds in them a unique, almost indescribable beauty that transcends words and becomes the core of his artistic work.

With a palette dominated by neutral tones and gold details, their compositions convey elegance and emotional depth that invites reflection. For Cober, each portrait is a quest to capture the feminine essence, exploring the diversity, strength, and vulnerability that define their subjects.

He has created live works at the iconic Circuito del Jarama, a place filled with adrenaline and automotive passion. He also worked at the Porsche dealership in Majadahonda, where he fused the sophistication of Porsche cars with the expressive power of his art, creating pieces that capture the essence of the brand. His participation in graffiti competitions has been equally notable, winning important contests and establishing himself as a reference in the urban space.
