Rare original edition of Henry Rigal's poetic collection, signed by the author on the back cover: [inscription from M. Henry Rigal. St Chinian Hérault]
Decorated as a frontispiece by a drawing of Coront.
Paperback, with printed cover. In good condition despite stains and a yellowed cover. Fresh and clean interior, free of foxing. Good copy.
Henry Rigal (1883-1914) is a French writer.
In 1901, at the age of 18, he co-founded the magazine Titan in Béziers with Ernest Gaubert, Marius Labarre, Marc Varenne, and Pierre Hortala. By the age of 20, he already had two collections to his name: 'Une syrinx aux lèvres' and 'Sur un mode saphique.'
In 1908, he published with Ollendorff (Paris) an anthology of the poets of the Midi.
