Limited and numbered edition of this illustrated Biblical text, this being No. 424 of 450 issued copies, signed by the illustrator in pencil. Beautifully illustrated with 10 full page black and white woodcuts by Bruno Goldschmitt.
Some rubbing, bumping, and wear to the boards and spine. The top left edge of the cover label has a crease. The back board has a tear at the top outer edge and a smaller tear at the bottom outer edge that expose the board underneath when the book is opened. The spine is fraying a bit at the top. Pencil markings on the back pastedown endpaper. Hardly any browning and spotting throughout. The text is clear, the paper is crips, the illustrations are vibrant and the binding is a bit soft in the top part. Overall, a nice copy in good+ condition.
