Personal 1998 is a sparkling wine, the result, as its name suggests, of the personal selection made by Manuel Raventós Negra of some of the best wines of that vintage
produced on his estate.
The Manuel Raventós Enoteca Personal 1998 blend is made from indigenous grapes, traditionally used in Catalan Cavas, such as Parellada, Macabeo, and others. The musts from the four grape varieties, obtained separately, underwent their first fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Blending and the second fermentation took place in the bottle. In the case of this 1998 vintage, the long-lees aging process, characteristic of the wines in the Enoteca Personal collection, lasted a total of 15 years. The result is a unique, silky, and enveloping mousse, awarded 94 points by Parker.
