AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Superb 19th-century frame (circa 1820-1850, late Empire or Restoration style, sometimes used until the early Napoleonic III period), entirely carved and gilded with gold leaf.
The powerful and very elegant molding features wide flutes (rounded grooves) that beautifully catch the light. It has a classic ogee profile, with perfectly angled 45° corners, and an old, shiny gilding with a very beautiful honey-colored patina that is slightly nuanced.

Materials: carved solid wood, gilding with gold leaf on a primer (Arménie bowl)
Style: Neoclassical / Empire – Return from Egypt
Motifs: large flutes and doucine.

Condition: very good state of preservation. Original gilding in excellent condition, with some minor signs of wear and handling that give a warm and authentic patina. No major restorations, no woodworm. Ready to be displayed immediately.
A sober, chic, and timeless model, ideal for: an old or contemporary portrait, an oil on canvas 10F.
An antique mirror, or simply as a wall decoration for its natural elegance.

External dimensions 62.5 x 50 cm - Internal dimensions 47 x 34.5 cm
