Oil on canvas landscape by Gino Grignani, produced in 1980 in Italy, an impressionist work signed by hand, original edition, sold with a frame, about 72 x 80 cm and weighing 5 kg in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Oil on canvas by Gino Grignani (Gerenzago, Pavia, 1925), a Lombard painter active in the second half of the 20th century, known for his naturalist landscapes with an impressionist style accented by romantic touches and tiny figures.
The work depicts a evocative woodland landscape at sunset, with majestic trees, a rocky path, and two figures in traditional clothing (probably shepherds or travelers) bringing life to the foreground scene. In the background, a distant village or castle is glimpsed, rendered with delicate color washes that create depth and a warm atmosphere. The brushwork is swift and confident, with a beautiful use of ochre, brown, and orange tones.
Signed at the bottom right: G. Grignani (or Gino Grignani).
Dimensions:
• Frame: approximately 72 x 80 cm (golden wood frame, Baroque style, in excellent condition with some small patina of age)
Conditions:
No visible damage, no obvious restoration.
Cornice in good overall condition, with some minor signs of aging but still very decorative.
Ready-to-hang picture, ideal for classic-style decor or collectors of traditional Italian painting of the 20th century.
Provenance: from an Italian private collection.
Shipping: professional packaging with a reinforced box and tracked shipping (cost at the buyer's expense).
