This elegant Japanese urushi lacquer document box (fumibako) titled “ 寿松沈金 Jusho chinkin””was created by Yonenaga, a skilled lacquer artist working in the tradition of refined Japanese lacquer craftsmanship.

The box has been kept unused and carefully stored, as there was no opportunity to put it into use.
It features a dignified pine motif rendered in gold maki-e, a traditional symbol of longevity, prosperity, and resilience. Its calm yet powerful design makes it suitable not only as a document box, but also as a storage box for valuables, an organizer, or an elegant decorative piece.
