Description from the seller
In the heart of Japan, where the ephemeral coexists with the eternal, there emerges a space charged with resonance: silence. This collection of eight photographs explores that intangible presence—not only in the solemn beauty of tradition, but also in what remains hidden, forbidden, or unsaid.
Maikos slipping discreetly into the night, vanishing into cars where silence begins to speak; women gathering in Kyoto’s forests, sharing moments withdrawn from the public gaze; solitary figures suspended between ritual and intimacy. Each image reveals a paradox: the noise of the world and the stillness within, the intensity of gesture and the restraint of desire, the visible and the silenced.
Sounds of Silence is a journey into those interstices where noise fades and the forbidden, the politically incorrect, the unspoken arises. A reminder that silence is never absence, but a language in itself—sometimes reverent, sometimes complicit, always revealing.
The photograph Sounds of Silence #2 (Japan, 2014) is printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Premium Silk Paper and is sold unframed.
Its elegant finish and subtle texture give it a sophisticated appearance, with vibrant, rich colors. The paper’s natural resistance also helps protect the print from fingerprints and scratches.
Each piece is individually numbered and signed, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
The print is carefully rolled, packaged, and shipped via tracked and insured express courier from Spain to destinations worldwide.

Dominik Valvo is a professional photographer born in Andalusia and based in Madrid, where he exhibits and sells his work in galleries and curated boutique spaces. His eclectic style reflects a deep passion for fashion, contemporary art, and urban culture, drawing inspiration from cities such as Tokyo, New York, and Berlin, as well as from major artistic movements. A visual artist dedicated to capturing beauty in all its forms, his photography flows between the erotic, the conceptual, and the documentary. His work explores themes of identity, desire, fetishism, and sexuality, incorporating BDSM elements that highlight power dynamics and personal freedom while challenging established social norms.
His portfolio includes intimate portraits, nudes, and striking travel photography, where contemporary aesthetics intertwine with emotion and self-expression. Alternating between portraiture and urban photography, he captures both the essence of people and the energy of the spaces they inhabit, with a special fascination for the interplay between architecture, light, and movement.
Dominik Valvo’s work has been exhibited across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, attracting international collectors. Each of his images invites reflection and wonder, establishing him as a distinctive voice in the contemporary art scene.
