Krampus glass Christmas ornament from Glaswerkstätten Lauscha, Germany, circa 1910–1920, red, 6.6 cm high by 5.5 cm wide, one item, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and some paint loss; hooks rusted but intact.
Description from the seller
Special Christmas auction benefiting a day activity center.
Made in Lauscha by the glassworks there during the period 1910-1920. In the era of Art Deco and Art Nouveau. They sought less-known items for the Christmas tree, such as these Krampus Christmas ornaments. The size is approximately 5.5 cm wide and about 6.5 cm high. The twisted black horns of the Krampus are very beautiful.
Krampus is a helper of Sinterklaas, St. Nicolaas, in South Germany, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.
These Christmas ornaments are in very good condition and come from my very large private collection. They have some paint loss. The hooks are rusted but still functional. They were handmade and hand-colored at the time. They are as they were made, not restored. One Krampus is offered in this auction.
Like every year, we are auctioning beautiful Christmas items again for the day care center Stichting Epric. The proceeds will ensure the support of people. Bid as much as you want and can.
