Petrus Paulus Schiedges II (1860-1922) was born in The Hague and lived and worked there, as well as in Vreeland Hilversum, 's Gravenland Nigtevegt, and later in Amersfoort. He studied at the Academy in The Hague and was an important member of the Hague School during his time. His father, Petrus Paulus Schiedges Sr. (1813-1876), was a well-known marine painter. P.P. Schiedges Jr. mainly painted landscapes, often featuring cattle or ducks.

Depiction: Windmills at sunset in a summer landscape, likely along the Zaan.

Signed and dated (1905)
