Born 21-02-1924, Died 21-09-2011.

He attended the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam in the evening hours. There, he took painting lessons from the teachers Johannes Heyboer and Van Oort.
Jan is best known for his paintings of young kittens. He has also painted stable interiors with horses, playful young dogs, ponds with ducks, and beach scenes. Additionally, he worked for a period on a series of paintings of the Biesbosch. In the 1960s, he created modern work with powerful brushstrokes, using both the brush and the palette knife. He also painted many portraits. Jan van Trirum was a member of the International Organization of Free Art [IOFA].

Panel size 40cm by 50cm, the frame is new and incorrectly fitted, in very good condition, and will be included free of charge with the painting.

Work is carefully packed and sent via international registered mail.
