Vintage mechanical piggy bank 'Little Chief', produced in Japan by WACO.
Made of chrome-plated metal and black painted sheet metal, it faithfully reproduces the appearance of a classic American countertop slot machine, with a functioning side lever and reels decorated with traditional symbols (cherries, lemons, bells, BAR).
By inserting the coin and operating the lever, the internal mechanism activates and the coin is retained inside like a piggy bank. It does not dispense winnings: it is intended solely as a playful and decorative object.
At the bottom is the WACO – Product of Japan brand, referencing the U.S. patent (U.S. Pat. No. 4261571).
The item shows normal signs of age and use (light scratches and small abrasions), consistent with its age, without compromising its strong retro charm.
