Two 500 ml ceramic jars from Muraglia, Puglia, Italy, in the POP ART line ARAGOSTA and FICO D’INDIA, containing 100% Italian extra virgin olive oil, new in original packaging.
Description from the seller
Lot consisting of 2 500 ml ceramic jars, "POP ART" line, LOBSTER and PRICKLY PEAR, of extra virgin olive oil produced by FRANTOIO MURAGLIA, PUGLIA - ITALY.
Frantoio Muraglia was born in Andria, the capital of Apulian oil, five generations ago, but the patriarch of the family of springs counts 450. It is a majestic Coratina olive tree, an indigenous cultivar armed with polyphenols like few among the 538 Italian varieties classified. Our story as millers begins with this green giant that dominates our countryside in the Murgia plateau, a stretch of about 40 hectares of olive groves. We continue the harvest by hand and cold-pressing in the ancient stone mill.
The jars are from the POP ART series and are called: LOBSTER and PRICKLY PEAR, just like the images depicted, from left to right, on each of them.
The bowls of the POP ART collection, entirely handcrafted by Puglian artisans, are true design objects that directly evoke the colors of the land and sea of Puglia. Colorful pop marine elements: bright tones and matte chromies personalize octopuses, squids, and fish that dart across the white ceramic, highlighting its purity and artisanal perfection; pastel streaks instead become glossy iridescences of the rainbow – a distinctive iconography of Frantoio Muraglia – that dive into the sea to personalize very colorful octopuses and return to land, tinting the prickly pears with warmth.
