Description from the seller
Omega is a Swiss luxury watchmaking company, founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Established in Bienne, in the canton of Bern, since 1880, by the Brandt brothers, it joined the Swatch group in 1998.
By its seniority, longevity, visibility, and size, Omega is one of the flagship companies of the Swiss watch industry. It was, in fact, the pioneer in the industrialization of production.
Introducing the Omega Flightmaster, a pilot's watch that offers much more than just a revolving bezel.
A black face and revolving bezel do not make a special watch for airline and private pilots. You need all the advanced features incorporated in this Omega Flightmaster, a wrist-chronograph derived from the famous Speedmaster — the official watch of the Apollo astronauts. We sent that one to the moon before we checked out this one for jets.
The reference indication of the movement tends to prove that the watch would have been part of the last production batches of the year 1969... a reference year for the industry and the Omega brand, which sent its older sister Speedmaster to the Moon!
