Description from the seller
Here we have a quite fabulous 19th Century oil on panel attributed to the listed British artist Edward William Cooke RA (1811-1880). The painting depicts a panoramic view of the serene waterways of Venice and the City as the backdrop. A very well constructed painting that would grace any wall in your home.
The artist was a pupil of the famous marine artist Clarkson Stanfield and quickly began to make a name for himself in his own right. His travels took him across Europe, North Africa and of course Venice. The artist first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1835.
In good condition for its age, and comes framed. Please view the photographs as part of the description. The frame is a gift no compensation given if damaged in transit.
