Original painting from January 2024 inspired by the famous French actor Alain Delon, by street artist Captain Niglo.
Jeremy Bouleau, aka 'Captain Niglo,' born in Reims in 1982. Passionate about tagging and graffiti since his adolescence and inspired by artists like Trane, Djuk, Jonone, Seen, Cope2, and others such as Salvador Dali and Frida Kahlo, he started with markers in his pocket in 1999. Then, in 2000, he took markers and spray cans in a vandalous manner. Caught in the act in 2006 with his tags Cuni and Némar, he largely abandoned vandalism for legal murals a few years later, on various surfaces. Some murals can be seen in the Ardennes (08), such as in Vouziers and Rethel, as well as in Marne (51), notably in Reims and Châlons-en-Champagne. 'Niglo' is the Romani word for hedgehog. Having uncles who run auto wreckers, some friends nicknamed him Niglo, then he added 'Captain' as a pun, like the fish sticks Captain Iglo. His style is recognizable often by his trembling lines with small dots and/or thick layers of acrylic paint. Also, his character features a beard shaped like parchment and a crown-shaped cap. Always seeking new techniques and surfaces, he also practices tattoo art since 2017 and opened his studio-exhibition in Attigny (08). Artists like Kery James or La Bajon already have their Captain Niglo artwork—why not you?
