A bulk lot of 11 vintage Japanese Fukuro obi belts, mainly silk, with widths around 30 cm and lengths of 360–450 cm, featuring Nishiki-brocade and gold/silver thread embroidery in motifs such as chrysanthemums, peonies, cranes, and geometric patterns; vintage condition with minor stains or aging but vibrant and structurally sound.
Description from the seller
This is a curated bulk lot of 11 vintage Japanese Fukuro Obi belts, the traditional formal sash worn with Kimonos. These belts are primarily crafted from silk and feature a stunning variety of weaves, including brocade (Nishiki-ori) and gold/silver thread embroidery.
Designs & Patterns: The set includes a diverse range of classic Japanese motifs such as seasonal florals (chrysanthemums, peonies), auspicious cranes, and traditional geometric patterns. The rich textures and metallic accents make these textiles not only beautiful for wearing but also exceptional materials for high-end interior design and upcycling projects (e.g., table runners, cushions, or wall hangings).
Dimensions:
Width: Approx. 11.8 in (30 cm) per belt
Length: Approx. 142 in to 177 in (360 cm to 450 cm) each
Condition: Vintage/Used condition. As these are authentic pre-owned items, some belts may have minor stains, fold lines, or slight aging smells. However, they remain vibrant and structurally sound, offering immense value for collectors and creators alike.
