Description from the seller
You are bidding on a very fine and rare antique (early 19th century) italian 4/4 violin, labeled "Laurentius Storioni fecit Cremonae 1802".
The instrument is in ready to play condition with some old professional repaired cracks and new ebony set up. Workmanship is extraordinarily neat and clean. The violin has an excellent irregular grained spruce of the top and one piece back of beautiful narrow flamed maple. The whole length of the violin is 595 mm and the back 359 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 164 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 203 mm. Full size. Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions. Shipping worldwide with DHL!
Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind.
