Painting of Soviet social realism by Grigori Semenovich Minski (1912-?), Agricultural scene, cm, 39 x 49 (without frame), 1970s, oil on cardboard on panel Signed, framed
biography
Grigori S. Minski was born on April 13, 1912, in Odessa (Ukraine). From 1932 to 1936, he studied at the Odessa Art Institute (Art Studio Volokidina PG). From 1936 to 1941, he was a student at the Kiev State Art Institute, under the guidance of the famous painter Shovkunenko AA. In 1947, he graduated from the Kiev Art Institute. In 1956, he was admitted to the Union of Artists. Painting technique: oil on canvas, artistic direction - realism in the tradition of Russian and Ukrainian classical painting. G.S. Minski's paintings have been exhibited since 1949, both in Ukraine and in other countries (Japan, Greece, Italy, Spain, Canada, etc.). In 1998, he held a highly successful solo exhibition at the National Museum of Ukraine in Kiev, featuring 65 paintings. In 2010, he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.
