Very finely crafted edition of Mornay in a small in-quarto format, adorned with 45 black etchings in the text by Berthold Mahn.

The title vignette is hand-enhanced with watercolors.

Limited edition of 443 numbered copies, this one being number 328 on Rives vellum, watermarked Mornay.

Perfectly bound in cherry half-morocco with corner pieces, with cold gilt lines along the covers and edges, spine with raised bands decorated with the title in gilt letters, gilt head. Covers and spine preserved.
Copy in excellent condition, with a good quality, clean binding. Impeccable interior.

Creator with Romain Rolland of the magazine Europe in 1923, Jean Bloch, who dedicated himself to his writing work from 1909, was injured during the First World War. 'A novel worthy of Balzac,' ...And Cie, is the story of an Alsatian Jewish family that chose France as their homeland in 1871.
