AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

The oil painting on canvas signed with the pseudonym Leva Karakash (1882 Russia Bianca - 1950 Istanbul Turkey) depicts the agricultural landscape of eastern Ukraine; the dimensions of the work are 55x41 cm with a frame measuring 67x54 cm; private property; insured shipping; the oil on canvas piece is by an exile painter who fled from the Bolshevik Revolution (USSR) at a young age, settling in Istanbul during the Ottoman Empire, where he was very prolific in his landscape production. He had a difficult life, working in a workshop that also served as his home in the Beyoglu district; he was friends and collaborators with Turkish painters Ibrahim Safi and Naci Kalmukoglu. I do not think there will be any issues regarding the author, who was an exile from the USSR, living and dying in Turkey.
